Something doesn't sit right with me with this show. Seems to me a lot of these guys are losers, that aren't very bright, that get caught up in the fantasy of someone else giving them the time of day and that age is inconsequential. Real pedophiles are much too crafty to fall for the likes of Chris Hanson.
The trouble is the show was overplayed. When everyone had seen it, it no longer became a surprise. Early on I believe they were catching some legitimate child predators. And many of those arrests conisited of doctors, teachers etc. They even caught one guy who was a district attorney, and he ended up killing himself over it. After it played for awhile, most of the arrests consisted of truckdrivers, kids barely over 18, drug abusers, military people, slackers, or people who don't watch much tv.
Most of them are wack-jobs like 45 year old men looking for 13 year old pussy. But when someone is 19 or 20 and looking to meet someone that is 15 or 16 is that REALLY a huge deal? When I was a senior in high school I messed around with some freshman, by definition I committed rape and so do tons of high school kids everyday.
It still pisses me off that the suits at NBC canceled this show because that NAMBLA pedophile lawyer in Texas blew his brains out when the cops and cameras came knocking.
In my view, this was one of the best TV shows ever for two reasons. First, it was a reality show that was actually real. Second, the humiliation and scorn that these perverts faced after being embarrassed on national TV provided far greater punishment then our lenient justice system would give them.
Obviously, towards the end people were catching on to this and it lost a little of the element of surprise. Hopefully at some point in the future, they bring the show back.

I fuckin love this show! Amazing how it's damn near all walks of life getting caught. (e.g. teachers, ex military, executives, blue collar) Scary stuff. I saw won episode where a man was pulled over and arrested hours later. Dude had his family in his car too. YIKES!
